On March 23 to 24, 2017, Li Yonggang, General Manager of the company, organized the heads of the Financial Planning Department and Investment and Development Department to attend the 15th Water Sector Strategic Forum 2017. At the Forum, Mr. Li delivered a speech with the theme of “Differential Development of Xingrong Environmental”, and on behalf of the company, accepted the Best Investment Value Award for Listed Companies revealed by the 14th Evaluation of Influential Water Companies in China for 2016.

The Water Sector Strategic Forum organized by E20 has been successfully held for 15 annual sessions. It is the most influential event for the water sector. With the theme of “Rediscovering China’s Water Sector”, Wu Shunze, Vice Director of the Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning of the Ministry of Environmental Protection; Wang Tianyi, Co-Director of the Centre for Public-Private Partnership at Tsinghua University (TUPPP), member of the UNECE International PPP Centre of Excellence gave keynote speeches as honored guests and shared their insights about hot industrial issues and challenges. Plus, representatives from industrial model enterprises, such as Li Li, Board Chairman of Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited; Zhao Lijun, Chairman of Poten Environment Group Co., Ltd.; Sun Minghua, Executive Vice President of Suez Asia Holdings, were also present and exchanged their experiences and thoughts about enterprise development with other participants.

In the speech given by Li Yonggang, he began with the industrial positioning and strategic objectives set forth by the company, analyzed its shortcomings compared with industry-leading enterprises, which culminated in the creation of three strategies for differential development: differentiations of operation service quality under the PPP wave, differentiations of invested areas against the Belt and Road Initiative, and differentiations of technological innovation based on strengthening hard skills.

This is the first time the company has spoken at an industrial strategic forum in recent years. It summarized the company’s fruition in 2016 in fields like PPP project extension, Belt and Road construction, technological innovation-based cooperation, standard upgrading, and capacity expansion. It has issued the goal of “building a globally well-known and industry-leading enterprise in five to ten years” with a differential development strategy, showing the lofty aspirations of a water and environmental protection service provider with a low starting point while boasting national influence and international visions.
