On December 30, 2016, the ground-breaking ceremony of the Chengdu Wanxing Green Power Plant Project kicked off in Wanxing Village, Longquanyi District, marking the official trial operation of the project.
Invested by and under the charge of Chengdu Xingrong Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chengdu Xingrong Environmental Co., Ltd., the Chengdu Wanxing Green Power Plant Project will build the largest municipal solid waste incineration power plant in western China and the first to use SCR denitrification technology. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and held to the highest environmental protection standards, it can dispose of 2,400 tons of household garbage per day thanks to its mature and reliable mechanical grate furnaces. To achieve zero discharge, EU standards will be adopted in flue gas purification and optimized combination technology in landfill leachate treatments. The company can discharge water quality stably and use reclaimed water for production and greening within the plant.
At the ceremony, Li Wenben, Chairman of the company, stated that it’s a great honor for the company to undertake the project as its owner. And it will, under the leadership of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People’s Government, put people’s livelihoods first and shoulder its responsibilities to protect the ecological environment, ensuring the project is constructed with safe, sound, and green practices. In addition, it will strive to build the project into an example in the field of environmental protection, contributing to the construction of Chengdu as a national central city and a model city in beautiful China.
